DPC goes DIGITAL! So what does this mean? You can now compete from the comfort of your city or a studio from anywhere in the world.


The Process is Simple

    • Applications Close - 12th June 2020 

    • Athletes announced for qualifiers - 26th June

    • Athletes prepare and submit their routine for semi Finals - 26th June - 26th August

    • Performances reviewed - 26th August - 7th September 

    • Semi Finalists announced (6 Per Category) -  9th September 

    • Athletes prepare and submit routine for Finals - 9th September - 9th October

    • Judges score and select winners per category for the Finals - 9th October - 15th October

    • Finalists announced (2 Per Category) - 16th October

    • Finalists prepare their final submission routine for the Finals - 16th October - 16th November

    • Judges score and select the Winners per category - 16th November - 22nd November 

    • Winners Annoucned - 23rd November

    1. Fill out your application form with your submission video and pay the application fee. Applications close on the 12th of June 2020.

    2. Once we have allocated you in your respective categories, we will announce the qualifiers on the 26th of June 2020. 

    3. From the day of announcement, you will have until the 26th of August 2020 to record your performance routine meeting the video requirements. 

    4. Our judges will digitally judge and score you. 6 athletes from each group will move forward to the Semi Finals.

    5. The Semi finalists will be announced on the 9th of September 2020 and you will again be given another 4 weeks to prepare your piece which will be judged by our judges for the finals.

    6. 2 Athletes per category will make it to the finals. The Finalists will be announced on the 16th of October 2020

    7. Finalists will then be allowed another 4 weeks until the 16th of November 2020 to create a their final piece. 

    8. The Winners will be announced on the 23rd of November 2020.

      Note* The winners will be entitled to prize money which will be stated nearer the time. 

      Important notice regarding your performance pieces: At every stage from Qualifiers to Semi finals and Finals, It is at your own choice to either submit the same routine or a different one.

Rules and Regulations

  • An application Fee of 200AED pet athlete +5% VAT must be submitted alongside the athletes application form.

  • Application Fee is non Refundable or Transferable. 

  • Your Application does not guarantee you entry to the 2020 DPC Digital Competition. 

  • On the day of the event the Athlete must be 18 years old (unless he/she is in the Junior Category)

  • The Dubai Pole Cup reserves the right to disqualify any athlete who does not comply with their categorical requirements or is seen to be over skilled for their set category. 

  • Any aberration of the rules will result to an immediate disqualification. If an Athlete fails to comply with any of the Dubai Pole Cup's Rules and Regulations and Terms and Conditions the Dubai Pole Cup reserves the right to disqualify the athlete. 

Pre-Submission Video

  • Your video must be of a continuous clip, no cropping changing music or pausing between your routine.

  • Throughout the Routines must show usage of both Static and Spinning pole.

  • Your video must be clear, recorded live and show you perform at all times.

  • ​Videos will be assessed by a professional judge and Pole Athlete.

  • Videos must be submitted via Youtube 

  • Your video should be titled with DPC2020, Your Category and Full Name, the link should be emailed to by the 12th of June 2020.

Video Heat length requirements 

  • Qualifiers Heat - Submission videos should be no longer than 2.5 minutes.

  • Semi Finalists Heat - Videos should be no longer than 3.5 minutes 

  • Final Heat - Videos should be no longer than 4 minutes 

  • Note - You must ensure that your submission video portrays your abilities to your fullest extent.

Costume and Performance Regulations

  • Topless, minimal underwear, or any erotic lingerie is forbidden and the athlete will be disqualified.

  • High heeled shoes are forbidden however sports shoes, gymnastics footwear and dance shoes are allowed.

  • During the performance you are not allowed to take off any of your clothes. However taking parts of your costume such as a coat, mask, jacket, skirt is allowed if the contestant remains properly dressed underneath. Any kind of nudity showing breast or intimate body parts will immediately disqualify the contestant.

  • Clothing must not display any logos or other forms of advertising.

  • Latex isn’t allowed to be used in the costume.

  • No gloves or boots allowed.

Organizers Rights

Organizers have the right to:
• To record the rights to distribute the material.
• The organizers reserve right to change rules & regulations of the competition at any time.
• The Organizer reserve the right to grant special prizes as they see it fit.
